WebCab Keyword AdvisorLanguage: Perl This demonstration of our powerful program, Webcab's Keywords Adviser, will give you an idea of how to rank higher on the search engines. When one of this search engines finds out about your site, it is looking for a special HTML tag, the "META" tag, used for specifing keywords for that page, description, author, generator and so on. The search engines look for the line '', they make a list from those keywords and compare them with the rest of the page. After some very complicated (and secret) formulas, they give a note to the tested page, and put that note in the database along with the keywords specified. When someone uses then that search engine looking for one or more of those keywords, the search engine generates a result page, consisting of many links to pages that contain those specific keywords. If you rank higher, your link will be in the first ones, and will be visited more than the others below your link.
There are many things to do about ranking, but one of the most important is to find the best suited keywords for your page. Also, you should know that you must do this for every page on your site, because sometimes, the seardh engines give an "overall score" for your entire site, depending on every single page. You will find that this is a very easy to use script. In the main form, you must enter a valid URL to one of your pages (or every page you want) and the keywords you think that are suited for the page. After pressing the "Search" button, the script will start analysing the page, and it will count the occurence of the keywords you chose in the page. The results page will show you the original page (with every keyword marked), a table with the keywords frequencies, and the resulting "meta" tag, based on the keyword frequencies. The last part of the page will be the modified version of the original html file, with the new tag added, and the old one removed. If you like this script you can order the full version, which consists of a Linux (Unix) PERL script, that will automatically analize all files of a specific site or directory. The script is very customisable and fast, and it comes along with a ranking tutorial that you can use to rank higher on the search engines.
